IN COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA:
SALES MANAGER
Responsibilities:
-
Recruit and train sales staff
-
Supervise, motivate and monitor team performance
-
Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
-
Set budgets/targets
-
Liaise with customers (which includes actual selling)
-
Maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products
-
Keep abreast of what competitors are doing
-
Assist with product development, identification of new business opportunities and the development of marketing strategies
-
Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Representatives
-
Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
-
Plan and conduct sales meetings to inform, train, and motivate representatives
-
Conduct one-on-one review with Account Representatives to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Representatives sales and activity performance
-
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
-
Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Reps
-
Assist Account Reps in preparation of proposals and presentations
-
Ensure that all Account Reps meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes
-
Conduct regular coaching and counseling with Account Reps to build motivation and selling skills
-
Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
-
Foster a fun and creative selling environment by way of sales contests
Job requirements:
-
5-7 years of experience in sales management
-
Extremely self motivated
-
Preferred bachelors degree
-
Extensive experience in all aspects of selling
-
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
-
Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, business management, and computer skills
-
Ability to travel extensively
-
Excellent communication, coaching and presentation skills
-
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
