PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (F04-12)

Reporting to the Manager, Game Planning & Creative, this full-time position will be working within our Manufacturing and Operations department, working out of the Winnipeg Head Office, and be the primary contact for an established account for all project related matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for project management related to game development and will be the primary liaison in this regard between the client and internal groups. The Product Development Specialist is responsible for all aspects of game development including development of working documents as well as ensuring that client conceptual design and graphic requirements are met and that production specifications are prepared to satisfy technical and mechanical requirements. Utilizing excellent communication and facilitation skills, this person is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process from the initial concept to the finished product. This position demands an individual who is able to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented and dynamic environment. Some travel would be required.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in servicing clients
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Project management experience
  • Graphic Arts diploma or degree from a post-secondary technical institute and /or relevant print industry experience would be an asset
  • Ability to facilitate, oversee and troubleshoot print production processes and systems
  • Good computer skills with expertise in Adobe Acrobat
  • Design and creative skills as applied to print production
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with all levels of an organization

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (F05-12)

The ideal candidate will have education and/or experience such that they will be successful participating in the design, fabrication, adaptation and support of hardware/industrial solutions in support of our manufacturing operations. Projects will vary from retrofits to new systems involving web presses, product conveyance, industrial computers, process instrumentation, and project management. The position will also be responsible for developing materials specifications, design of schematics in AutoCAD, and equipment schedules

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communications skills including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Practical knowledge and proven ability to adapt and apply procedures to unusual situations and to resolve issues
  • Proven working relationships with colleagues, officials and associates for the purpose of discussing design problems, explaining design features and specifications and other project control criteria.
  • Sound knowledge of design standards and applicable safety codes
  • Two years related experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL queries would be an asset

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL (F74-11)

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead Hand, this permanent full-time position is responsible for completing maintenance and project tasks alone or with other staff of contractors in a safe and proper manner. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and providing assistance in the development of the Preventative Maintenance Plan.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 diploma plus an industrial mechanical trade qualification (Red Seal) – millwright, mechanic, or machinist
  • Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance (mechanical) experience
  • High knowledge and demonstrated techniques of using maintenance tools, repairing machinery, providing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and problem diagnosis
  • Ability to comprehend prints and drawings
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Suite of products, AutoCAD, Access Databases and Datastream MP2
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace team environment and flexible to work various shifts
  • Ability to train employees in work procedures
  • Will undertake ongoing training and upgrade skill level
  • Demonstrate basic skills in machining metal, welding and fabricating

SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST (F03-12)

Pollard Banknote Limited is currently looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst. The successful candidate's focus is to assist the Controller in preparation of monthly financial statements and to provide detailed financial analysis for the corporation.

Responsibilities:

This key role within the Finance department will assist the Division Controller in preparation of monthly financial statements and related financial analysis. Key to this position will be the ability to utilize previous financial and analytical experience to produce timely and accurate statements and reports. The successful candidate for this position is a motivated hands-on individual with a demonstrated understanding of and aptitude for financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Professional or 4th or 5th level accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a mid range or higher accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact well with others 
  • Strong initiative and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

GENERAL ACCOUNTANT (F02-12) 13 MONTH TERM

Located in Winnipeg and reporting to the Division Controller (US), the successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements as well as performing and reviewing analysis of financial information. Working in multi-disciplinary teams, the General Accountant must be able to liaise effectively with our US operation as well as other members of finance in order to provide timely and accurate financial information to management.

The successful candidate for will be a motivated hands-on individual with a demonstrated understanding of financial accounting in a manufacturing organization.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 3rd or 4th level of a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) with a minimum of two years of post-qualifying experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in completing month-end financial statements within a short time frame.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to do monthly account reconciliations, identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Strong aptitude for analytical analysis and an intellectual curiosity. 
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and database software
