CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance Team! Reporting to the Director of Treasury, this role will be responsible for the internal financial reporting, assisting in the preparation of the external financial reporting, supporting treasury functions and providing detailed operational and financial analysis for key operating entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for consolidation of subsidiaries’ financial results and related internal reporting

QA MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a passionate individual to join our fast-paced Digital Solutions Team and be a part of a dedicated team, working towards the Pollard Banknote’s digital product roadmap.

As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for working with internal and external teams to understand functional and non-functional testing requirements and manage the effective planning of test creation, test execution and issues tracking for software development projects varying in scope from existing application enhancements to large scale software projects.

You will drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the testing lifecycle through the development, monitoring and continuous enhancement of strategies, systems, policies and procedures to bring significant and measurable improvement in quality assurance for web and mobile applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

PROJECT MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a driven, results-oriented Project Manager to join our growing Project Management Office. In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more departments, often including external partnerships with vendors and suppliers as well as customer-facing projects.

As a Project Manager, you will be ensuring scope is documented and well understood between the project team and all stakeholders, be accountable to the project sponsor to deliver frequent status updates and all other project methodology deliverables. You will be responsible for delivering the project on time, on budget and within scope, and capturing and escalating issues, risks and decisions to ensure transparency around project health, as well as options and trade-offs for decision items.

  • Drive the development of the project charter and project plan from the originating project request with input from project team members and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project team members and stakeholders to develop project schedule, identify issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and control project progress using various tools (burn up/down charts, velocity charts, forecasting models, updated Gantt charts, etc.) to track progress against deadlines
  • Serve as the first point of escalation with project team members and works to remove blockers

  • Liaise with various Pollard Banknote stakeholders to assist with business case development

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Working within the IT Infrastructure department, this full-time permanent position will provide direct technical and administrative support to all aspects of Unix/Linux, VMWare, Backup and Recovery and AWS environments for a multi-site 24-hour manufacturing environment.

The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure, including participation in technical research and development.

SERVICE DESK - SUPERVISOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for an experienced IT Professional to join our IT Services team in the role of Service Desk, Supervisor. The primary focus of this role will be supervising, mentoring and supporting the Service Desk employees with first level IT support for staff throughout the company, ensuring that top quality service levels are achieved. In addition, the Service Desk, Supervisor will be responsible for managing, administering and continuing to build and improve upon the IT Service Management Tool (ServiceNow).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide daily supervision to a Team of Desktop Support Analysts; which includes: performance reviews, ongoing performance management, wage recommendations, time and attendance management, hiring, and disciplinary action
  • Lead and motivate a team of Desktop Support Analysts, to ensure the delivery of best in class technical customer service
  • Provide data and reporting of key performance indicators and trends to IT department and others in ad-hoc, weekly, monthly and as needed
  • Measure, monitor and work to drive down incident levels
  • Ensure the Service Desk is responsive to incidents and requests to minimize impact on internal clients
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Service Desk processes
  • Manage critical internal customer incidents and any appropriate escalations
  • Assist staff in incident and problem resolution ensuring best practice processes/procedures are used
  • Develop, document, and maintain the processes and procedures relevant to the operation of the IT Service Desk
  • Ensure supply of functional computer equipment is maintained
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Applications / Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent in a Senior level IT Support / Help Desk role
  • Demonstrated experience working with IT Service Management Tools
  • Expert MS Windows and MS Office Suite skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently looking for a Communications Specialist to join our Business Development Team. This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Manager, Business Development Communications. This position will prepare technical proposals and persuasive marketing plans for bids, as well as develop content in a variety of formats for a variety of other business development projects including press releases, brochures, presentations, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Project management and preparation of complete, compliant, and persuasive proposals that meet delivery deadlines as well as additional projects such as press releases, brochures, and presentations
  • Utilize established procedures for project management within the department (i.e. shipping procedures), or, where none are documented, assist the team by creating documented procedures, as directed by the Manager, Business Development Communications
  • Organize and communicate with all technical subject matter experts, sample experts, pricing experts, etc. such that various pieces of the project are coordinated as early on in the project development and as efficiently as possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma preferred, equivalent experience in bid preparation and project management will be considered
  • 1 year minimum technical and/or marketing writing experience required
  • Complex proposal writing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Word required including using advanced features, templates, graphics management, etc. related to managing large documents
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel including intermediate features such as SmartArt, developing charts, etc. would be preferred
  • Some knowledge of digital technology (eg. Web/mobile applications, networking, cloud computing, etc.) and marketing (eg. CRM, SEM, PPC, affiliates, etc.) preferred
  • Possesses well-developed business acumen
  • Organized and possesses a keen attention to detail
  • French/English bilingual writing skills preferred

CREATIVE ARTIST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a Creative Artist to join our Creative Services Team in a full-time permanent position. As a Creative Artist, you will be responsible for editing existing lottery ticket art within a quick turnaround time as well as providing assistance when required with new ticket art and promotional material design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Edit existing lottery ticket art files per revision requests
  • Prepare and send art files
  • Create new ticket art and promotional material design
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Art design or related field and/or relevant work experience
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite of products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Understanding of printing processes (Offset & Flexographic) is an asset
  • Experience within a print environment is preferred
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work while meeting tights deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret written instructions and translate into correct art revisions
  • Highly creative with the ability to come up with new ticket art designs
