DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

THE OPPORTUNITY:

In preparation for the pending retirement of the current Director, Human Resources in the spring 2019, and to facilitate a smooth and successful transition for the successor, we are looking for a seasoned HR professional to join our growing, dynamic company. The Director, Human Resources creates and leads the people strategy and implements integrated human resources plans consistent with the mission and values of the Pollard organization. The Director, HR oversees a team of human resources professionals across Canada and the USA, is responsible for establishing HR processes for the entire company, including Pollard owned subsidiaries, and spearheads new HR initiatives. The incumbent must have a passion for solving complex organizational and people challenges, building strong teams, selecting top talent, coaching managers, and implementing HR best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish an annual HR/talent strategy and execution plan that achieves KPIs and milestones, and approved by the Executive team
  • Drive standardization, alignment and integration among and within the Pollard locations and divisions related to Compensation and Benefits strategy, Culture and Environment and Talent Management
  • Lead and support HR initiatives including Performance Management and Succession Planning, Training & Development, HRIS and other systems, as well as legal issues such as employment contracts, termination methods, etc.
  • Proactively identify, develop, source and coordinate administration of customized training to address both regional and market specific challenges, and to facilitate development of a world-class workforce
  • Develop and ensure adherence to corporate and site-specific HR policies and practices
  • Provide guidance and counsel on employee and labor relations practices, establishing positive employer-employee relationships, lead employee relations solutions, progressive discipline issues and investigations

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 10 years’ HR management experience in increasingly responsible roles; experience in managing the HR function across multiple locations is preferred, ideally in both Canada and the US; experience in a manufacturing environment as asset
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a suitable combination of education and experience; CHRM designation is an asset
  • Experience supporting the integration of business locations/acquisitions a definite asset

MARKETING COORDINATOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

PRODUCTION ARTIST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for an adaptable, highly detailed Production Artist to join our Game Management & Design Department. In this role, you will be responsible for building production ready lottery ticket art files that meet our security, quality and customer specification standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Trap, colour match, colour correct and rebuild art files for Live, Focus or R&D lottery ticket product ensuring they meet Pollard quality, security, and printability standards all with customer specifications and deadlines

MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a creative Multimedia Designer to join our Game Management and Design team in a full-time permanent position. BUSINESS ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a self-motivated, Business Analyst to join our Pollard Information Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for interactions with various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, executives, operational users and technical staff to analyze, elicit, and document requirements associated with defined project, system, or business process scope. This includes elicitation and requirements/process capture methods, tools, techniques and templates and the execution of those techniques on various IT and Digital Solutions projects at Pollard Banknote.

This role will provide business analysis services to a multitude of projects related to our Information Technology and Digital Solutions areas from inception to completion. Reporting to the Director Enterprise IT Applications, the role will be a shared service to high priority projects, within IT.

In addition, this position will be responsible for developing a set of templates and processes as it relates to business analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive the interpretation of business objectives and system scope from the stakeholders to the developers; provide input on scope management and resolves issues related to the impact of changes to scope
  • Solicit goals and requirements through interviews, workshops, and reviews of existing documentation/procedures
  • Recommend improvements to processes or technical solutions to resolve identified gaps or underlying issues
  • Review artifacts and final requirements and obtain final endorsement from stakeholders
  • Work with architects, developers, stakeholders, and project managers to coordinate resolution of issues related to functionality that does not meet intended requirements
  • Negotiate commitments by facilitating communication between developers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Compile metrics and reports on progress of requirements development to project team
  • Provide thought leadership on business analysis approaches
  • Conduct current state, target state, and gap analysis on business and technical processes. This includes business process re-engineering through techniques such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction and support business process improvement. Integrate new and existing technology into business processes
  • Apply excellent understanding of SDLC, including how it relates to the various software development methodologies and processes (e.g., agile, RUP, waterfall, scrum) to deliver functionality. This includes requirements capture in standard business requirements documents (BRD) for functional and non-functional requirements and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria/tasks
  • Apply excellent understand of UML 2.0 diagraming including use cases, activity diagrams (with and without swim lanes), and sequence diagrams
  • Development of business cases and liaising with various Pollard Banknote stakeholders to assist with business case development
  • Review and analysis of change requests submitted with consideration to impact on current processes and interfacing systems
  • Provide updates regarding changes to specifications, delivery timelines and workflow

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree or Diploma specializing in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Analysis, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required

DIGITAL ASSET COORDINATOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our Pre-Press Department as a Digital Asset coordinator for a 6-month term. In this role, you will be responsible for creating PDF files of completed scratch ticket artwork following specific guidelines, uploading, filing and key-wording the art files into the DAM system and managing and maintaining the ticket artwork database.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and format PDF files of scratch ticket art using Adobe Creative Cloud applications to be used in our DAM system
  • Upload and properly catalogue and file the ticket artwork in the DAM system
  • Apply relevant keywords to the art files for search optimization

BUSINESS PROCESS SPECIALIST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Pollard Banknote is growing and we have an exciting new opportunity in the Sales & Customer Development department. This new position has been created to ensure departmental employees are trained and are performing their jobs using established standard operating procedures (SOPs), processes, and practices of the department. The Business Process Specialist will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the department for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (DiMS), as well as for other processes, procedures and practices of the department. Additionally, this role will focus on evaluating, planning, and implementing improvements in business processes and practices and creating SOPs for processes where documentation doesn’t exist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with management in own department, other departments and the ERP team to maintain a full understanding of existing DiMS processes to ensure best practices are in place and followed and to leverage DiMS to create improvements and efficiencies over time
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are documented and proposed changes are tested, and approved changes are maintained and communicated to the department and others as necessary
  • Ensure employees in the department are fully trained, are performing their work in compliance with established procedures, and are producing consistent, accurate work
  • Facilitate team building, group facilitation of training, collaboration with other departments, compile and track data, and prepare training materials to drive world class performance outcomes within and resulting from the department
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education preferred such as a University undergraduate degree in Business Administration, or a suitable combination of related experience and education
