Programmer Analyst

Working in a highly-secure environment, our Game Development department is fast-paced, team-oriented and offers valuable mentoring opportunities with the brightest leaders in the business. Work with a variety of clients on a wide range of diverse short-term projects, building your skill set through algorithm development, random number generator, statistical data analysis, internal auditing and game generation.

Our Internal Audit & Software Acceptance Department is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst.  This permanent full-time position works within our Information Technology department and is responsible for auditing the programs created by the Game Generation Department to ensure the data that is generated for lottery tickets meets all customer specifications, game restrictions and prize structures.  

What you will do

  • Develop and test game applications/scripts to audit lottery ticket games that meet customer and game specification requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Ensure integrity and security of all information and processes by producing work with a high level of accuracy and quality
  • Audit and analyze all game data ensuring all requirements are met through testing, reviewing and verification
  • Read and interpret customer specifications/requirements and audit data according to specs
  • Verify data requirements are unambiguous, logical and without playability concerns
  • Create standard audit documentation
  • Review peer created audit documentation and audited data files
  • Maintain base code to comply with changes

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in application development preferably within Unix environments
  • Experience with C++, Perl and XML
  • Strong mathematical and statistics background
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and design
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and write technical documentation
  • Ability to perform work with high levels of concentration and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a project team and independently
  • Ability to use logic and an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated organizational and priority management skills
  • Experience in software development in a deadline-oriented manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
