Computer Operator – Deliverables

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional to join our Computer Operations Team. Reporting to the Computer Operator Supervisor, the Deliverables Operator is responsible for ensuring all games produced by Pollard Banknote are in balance prior to release. Duties include conducting some pre-balances and final balancing for all games, ensuring timely and accurate generation of customer deliverables including, but not limited to, game validation files, return files, second chance hash files and bar code files. As well, the successful candidate will be required to participate in the review of draft game specifications and sign off reviews.

This is a Monday to Friday day position, requiring the ability to work other shifts when needed and participate in an on-call rotation. 

What you will do

  • Perform pre-balances for one customer
  • Perform the final balancing and provide the ‘ok to ship’ on all games for all plants
  • Prepare, verify and release all customer deliverables
  • Prepare end of game audit files for external audit
  • Interact with multiple internal departments for trouble shooting purposes
  • Interact with external customers
  • Test Games
  • Draft spec review/sign off reviews
  • Train other/new operators as required
  • Develop and update procedures as required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • An honest and reliable individual who can handle sensitive and confidential information effectively

What you will need

  • ESSENTIAL:  Ability to learn and retain unique customer requirements and specifications
  • ESSENTIAL:  Aptitude for working with numbers and ability to learn calculations is critical
  • Gr. 12 education or equivalent is required – related post-secondary education would be an asset
  • 1 – 2 years working within PBL’s manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Intermediate skills working with computers in both Unix and Windows operating systems
