Finishing Worker – Summer Term Opportunity!

Pollard Banknote is seeking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment for our manufacturing department.

Reporting to the Finishing Supervisors, these summer term positions offer a 3-day compressed work week schedule. Our shifts are fixed twelve-hour shifts – 7AM to 7PM, Sundays to Tuesdays or Wednesdays to Fridays. There are numerous positions available and the start date for these positions will be sometime between Monday, July 18 and Monday, July 25. These full-time work terms will be from 3 to 5 weeks in duration. 

As a member of our Finishing Department, you will process serialized lottery tickets using automated, semi-automated and manual equipment methods to prepare our final product.  You will work in a variety of areas such as scanning, shrink wrapping, cartoning, inspection and palletizing. 

What you will do

  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures with respect to Health & Safety, Security and Operations
  • Ensure production targets are met
  • Ensure customer products meets customer requirements/specifications
  • Perform tasks related to assigned area
  • Keep area stocked with supplies
  • Ensure work area is clean and organized throughout shift

What you will need

  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
  • Aptitude for numbers is essential
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Excellent eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is an asset
