Vice President, Product Innovation and Development

We’re looking to fill the exciting position of Vice President, Product Innovation and Development. Innovation is key to our vision and values and requires a company-wide commitment that starts with the top levels of our organization. The new role, Vice President, Product Innovation and Development, will lead Pollard Banknote and its subsidiaries to ensure we are an innovation leader, differentiating ourselves from the competition and providing customers with another reason to choose Pollard Banknote. This position will report into our Executive Vice President, Operations and be based in either our Corporate Headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba (preferred), Ypsilanti, Michigan or Council Bluffs, Iowa. 

What You’ll Do

  • Create and lead the strategic direction that supports the overall innovation strategy of the company.
  • Drive the company’s innovation process ensuring a pipeline of product ideas to meet our growth objectives.
  • Create and lead multiple cross-functional teams through the innovation engineering process (or equivalent) to deliver a portfolio of products from idea to fully scaled commercialization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to ensure all stakeholders are fully integrated in key innovation activities.
  • Identify trends and opportunities within the Lottery and Charitable Gaming industries to identify areas of innovation, new product opportunities and product improvements.
  • Work with sales and marketing to ensure coordinated support for product launches.
  • Build and foster a culture of innovation within PBL and its subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the development of innovation projects including schedules and budgets.
  • Travel as necessary to tradeshows, customer locations and other areas in support of product and innovation initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • A minimum of 10 years management related experience
  • A solid understanding of Innovation processes, culture & project management
  • Experience in navigating and building relationships in a dynamic environment across multiple subsidiaries.
  • A proven track record developing new-to-world and new-to-company innovation.
  • Experience in structuring, building, and growing high-performing and engaged teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills, inclusive of written and oral communications.
