Imager Operator

We’re looking for a well skilled Image Operator to join our Press Department team at our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway. Candidate must be experience with machinery, equipment, and the facility. 

The Imager Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a high-speed variable-data 2-tower ink jet imaging press. This Imager is used to print game data, unique bar-coded serial numbers and other information on lottery tickets and related products. 

The Imager may be mounted in-line with other printing equipment or may operate as a stand-alone system with associated unwind/rewind units.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate the equipment with an ability to maintain or exceed the required productivity levels coupled with low waste levels, ensuring product is printed in accordance with game specifications.
  • Be able to take game data at end of run and determine overage imaged and send out end of game email.
  • Ensure optimal equipment performance through proper set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of Imager and peripheral equipment to ensure highest quality can be attained.
  • Show initiative and innovation in recommending potential changes in procedures and participation in team projects.
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections; set-up Imager and related equipment; dismount rolls from press.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
  • Ensure that products are printed on the Imager are in accordance with game specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor print quality and registration throughout roll and check all end sheets for print quality.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to sustain extended periods of walking and standing and able to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and produce accurate work.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain productivity to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to Document all test and inspection records and complete all other logs and production reports.
  • Willingness to cross train others
