Manager, Technical Art Services

We’re looking for a Manager, Technical Art Services to join our Game Management team within our Winnipeg Office.

As a Manager, Technical Art Services, you will work closely with Game Planning, clients and internal Sales & Marketing teams. The Manager, Technical Art Services ensures technical art solutions are delivered per client expectation while meeting internal standards. They manage a team of technical art artists who are responsible for both customer provided design and production file preparation, by providing learning opportunities and encouragement to successfully perform their duties to the best of their abilities.  Responsible to manage workflow and ensure that work instructions and assignments are communicated clearly so that work is completed within deadlines.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop training and coaching opportunities for new and existing technical art artists
  • Manage group performance plans and associated metrics related to performance plans
  • Develop and maintain process and procedure guidelines
  • Receive artwork requests and assign work 
  • Address and problem-solve concerns from other departments regarding technical art
  • Manage all communications related to marketing, customers, press floor expectations for art created by the group
  • Work closely with the Account team, Creative team and Game Planning team to understand all client business requirements
  • Lead and/or contribute to brainstorming initiatives and gathering ideas to support the team’s technical art delivery

What You’ll Bring

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a senior technical art position and/or a prepress environment
  • Experience in technical art direction and supervision in a team environment
  • Post-secondary education; Bachelor’s degree, Technical college certification or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in MAC operating software and MS office
  • Experience with direct and regular customer contact, involving negotiations and managing expectations
