We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance Department.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will oversee and ensure that the accounts payable duties are completed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner. What You’ll Do
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders and payment requests.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices for payments.
- Reconcile AP accounts and ensure necessary accruals are booked
- Ensure that financial deadlines are met, and that customer service is provided to all internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the implementation of the new ERP system
- Provide leadership and direction to team members
- Analyze accounts payable processes and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure internal controls and proper accounts payable procedures are in place and are followed
Who You Are
- A self-motivated individual with the capability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision.
- A highly adaptable, analytical and process-orientated individual with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Someone who is organized, self-motivated, and possesses strong time management skills.
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years accounts payable experience in a computerized accounting environment
- Knowledge of general accounting and accounts payable procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically an intermediate expertise in Excel.
- Post-secondary education in accounting and/or experience with accounting within a high-volume manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Strong technical skills working with a large ERP solution.
