We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to join our technology department in Belgrade. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing software quality and reliability. Key responsibilities include fostering a quality centric culture, leading a QA Community of Practice that adopts advanced testing methodologies, and ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards through industry-best practices. This role demands strategic oversight in creating and executing comprehensive test plans and fostering a structured environment for delivering superior software products. Here’s what you can look forward to in this role:
Strategic Leadership and Agile Practices:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive test strategy that aligns with agile, CI/CD principles, focusing on microservices and cloud applications
- Lead and mentor Test engineers, enhancing their skills and professional growth
- Promote cross functional collaboration with development, DevOps, and product management teams
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the QA Community of Practice and represent PDS-EU in Pollard’s Enterprise Quality Assurance Center of Excellence
Technical Expertise in Quality Assurance:
- Design and execute test cases for microservices and cloud applications, emphasizing automation to integrate QA into the development lifecycle
- Deepen expertise in cloud testing and microservices, ensuring tests cover scalability, security, and reliability
- Manage test environments, including cloud infrastructure, in collaboration with DevOps teams
- Implement defect management practices, from identification to resolution
Innovation in Testing and Process Improvement:
- Analyze and enhance QA processes, using metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement
- Advocate for quality throughout the development cycle
- Champion test automation to support CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct performance and scalability testing for microservices and cloud applications
- Ensure QA aligns with industry standards, compliance, and security best practices
You will be a match if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Extensive experience as a Lead Test Engineer or Manager in a software company, leading bigger teams
- Proficiency in software QA methodologies and processes
- Expert knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud technologies
- Strong skills in testing tools and automation frameworks
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- Eagerness to learn as well as share knowledge and ideas with co-workers
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are advantageous
