You can expect from this role to:
- Collaborate with teams in Serbia and Iceland to analyze, design, and develop the backend infrastructure for innovative gaming solutions for iLottery
- Document, test and deploy software to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Deliver well-structured, efficient and reusable code
- Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and share best practices
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering their professional growth
- Contribute to project and release planning, ensuring timely and successful delivery
You will be a match if you have:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Java development, with expertise in related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate)
- Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Experience working with message queues – RabbitMQ preferred
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and platforms like Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana for visualizing metrics and improving system performance
- Security-first mindset with the ability to implement secure coding practices
- Experience with reactive programming using Vert.x or similar is an advantage
