Pollard Banknote Awarded Danske Lotteri Spil (National Lottery Of Denmark) Contract

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, May 14, 2013 /CNW/ – Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard Banknote) is pleased to announce that the Danish Lottery (“Danske Lotteri Spil”) has awarded Pollard Banknote a new three-year contract for the production of instant lottery tickets. Pollard Banknote will remain the primary supplier of instant tickets to the Lottery until the end of March 2016. The total contract value, including a one-year extension option to 2017, is estimated to be approximately $5.6 million CDN.

Pollard Banknote has been a supplier of instant tickets to Danske Lotteri Spil since 2008, during which time an exceptionally cooperative and effective working relationship has been established. Incorporating Pollard Banknote’s best strategies, games, and innovations, Danske Lotteri Spil has achieved notable sales success with several of Pollard Banknote’s industry-leading products, including the company’s patented Pollard PlayBook® and Scratch FX®

Danske Lotteri Spil’s Skrabehæfte ticket featured the Pollard PlayBook® concept, which brings multiple games together in a unique booklet format, enabling players to try a number of different games at once. The Lottery also achieved remarkable success with their GULD Quick ticket that utilized Pollard Banknote’s exclusive Scratch FX® process which replicates the look of foil or holographic foil for an eye-catching appearance to achieve maximum impact at retail.
