John oversees all financial and operational aspects of Pollard Banknote. He has helped lead the company from its beginnings in the lottery industry in the 1980s to the world-class lottery partner that it is today. John’s leadership has been instrumental in guiding Pollard Banknote’s strategic investment to solidify the company’s position as a proven lottery partner and innovator. As Co-CEO with his brother, Doug, John continues to drive the company’s ongoing expansion into new business sectors within the lottery and charitable gaming industries.
Before joining Pollard Banknote, John worked for the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche (now Deloitte).
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a former member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba. He was inducted into the Public Gaming Research Institute Lottery Hall of Fame in 2020.
Doug plays an active role in building strong, strategic partnerships with Pollard Banknote’s lottery customers. Alongside his brother, John, he has led Pollard Banknote to unprecedented sales growth, with annual revenues more than doubling over his tenure as Co-CEO. With a strong focus on Pollard Banknote’s core instant ticket business, Doug fosters a corporate culture of innovation that has culminated in the introduction and proven success of exciting new lottery products and ventures into new sales channels—including iLottery and in-lane solutions.
Prior to joining the company, Doug held a senior role at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Supply Chain Management division.
Doug holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. He was inducted into the Public Gaming Research Institute Lottery Hall of Fame in 2015.
Jennifer forges strong relationships with Pollard Banknote’s global lottery customers to drive instant lottery growth. Her thought leadership and passion for innovation has guided the evolution of Pollard Banknote’s print, digital, and retail products and services—growing the company’s market position and maximizing lottery revenues for good causes around the world. Jennifer’s knowledge and experience in the industry is unmatched, and her approach to developing innovative business strategies for Pollard Banknote’s clients is a critical component to the company’s success.
Prior to joining Pollard Banknote, Jennifer held positions with Booz Allen & Hamilton and with Ernst & Young.
Jennifer graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees. She also studied at Oxford University in England. In 2012, Jennifer was inducted into the Public Gaming Research Institute Lottery Hall of Fame.
Rob is responsible for all financial areas of Pollard Banknote including accounting, financial reporting, treasury operations, budgeting, risk management, and investor relations. His financial expertise and experience have been critical factors in the company’s corporate development. Rob has been involved in a number of corporate acquisitions to expand Pollard Banknote’s operations and product portfolio. He has also led a number of significant capital transactions, including the company’s IPO in 2005, transitioning the private family company to a public entity, as well as raising subsequent equity and multiple debt financings.
Before joining Pollard Banknote, Rob served in increasingly senior roles with the accounting firm KPMG.
Rob has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba.
A highly distinguished lawyer in corporate law, Riva serves as the chief legal strategist for Pollard Banknote. She has played a significant role in the growth of the company and has been instrumental in its strategic corporate acquisitions and partnerships. Her commitment to growing Pollard Banknote’s industry leadership is also demonstrated by the company’s successful expansion into the iLottery market, where she helped establish the benchmark for regulatory compliance and operational success in the U.S.
Prior to joining Pollard Banknote, Riva worked at CanWest Global Communications with executive responsibility of the company’s legal affairs. She also worked for the law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
Riva received her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University in Montréal, Québec and an undergraduate business degree from the University of Western Ontario. She was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Corporate Counsel: 40 and Under 40” by Lexpert® Magazine in 2005 in recognition of her legal talent and impressive career.
Rob is responsible for the Manufacturing, Pre-Press, and Information Technology departments at Pollard Banknote. His commitment to driving corporate growth has led to the continuous development of Pollard Banknote’s operational processes and the expansion of the company’s manufacturing capacity and capabilities. Rob’s experience and knowledge of print production and manufacturing excellence continue to drive the operational success of the company.
Rob has held senior roles for many of the largest firms in North America, including Quebecor, Cenveo, and Transcontinental. Rob also worked for British American Banknote.
Rob has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund.
Pedro leads the development and integration of digital solutions and innovations for Pollard Banknote’s customers and he oversees internal IT infrastructure, applications, support services, and information security for the company. Pedro works closely with Pollard Banknote’s business stakeholders, technology partners, and lottery customers to identify opportunities and to produce digital solutions that deliver value for lotteries and enhanced interactive experiences for players. He is also responsible for the development of Pollard Banknote’s technological products and innovations—including its mobile applications, player engagement platforms, and lottery management solutions.
Prior to joining Pollard Banknote, Pedro worked for Postmedia Network with responsibility for the corporation’s Information Technology group.
Since graduating as a Computer Analyst/Programmer from Red River College, Pedro has continued to further his education with courses and seminars in Business Analysis, Software Development, and Project Management.
Paul is responsible for leading and driving expansion initiatives that support Pollard Banknote’s corporate vision and strategic growth. Paul leverages his experience in operations and mergers and acquisitions to identify new corporate opportunities and manage their operational integration into the Pollard Banknote family of companies.
Before working at Pollard Banknote, Paul held several executive management positions with Ag Growth International Inc. He was also a partner for a Winnipeg-based consulting practice, offering boutique buy/sell brokerage services to public and private companies.
Paul is a Chartered Professional Accountant and also holds a Certified General Accountant designation.
Margaret is responsible for leading the development, strategy, and implementation of integrated Human Resources programs that are consistent with Pollard Banknote’s mission and values. She takes pride in building and coaching teams with a focus on driving performance and creating an intuitive and productive workplace. Margaret also is actively involved in developing strategies and programs to achieve the business growth and objectives of the company.
Prior to joining Pollard Banknote, Margaret held prominent positions at Shaw Communications and CanWest Global Communications.
Margaret has Bachelor of Science (Statistics) and Master of Science (Actuarial Mathematics & Management) degrees from the University of Manitoba.
Steven leads the sales and operations of Pollard Banknote’s charitable gaming division which includes Pollard Games, Inc., DBA American Games and International Gamco, Diamond Game, and Compliant Gaming. The charitable games group manufactures products such as pull-tab lottery tickets, electronic pull-tab systems, and dispensers, bingo paper and ticket vending machines—as well as related support services. In addition to his duties as Executive Vice President, Charitable Gaming, Steven is President of Pollard Games, Inc. located in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. With over two decades of sales and operations experience at Pollard Banknote, Steven’s expertise supports the advancement of our charitable and lottery gaming clients and the good causes they support.
Prior to joining Pollard Banknote, Steven worked in the tele-communications industry, managing a branch of a national internet service provider where he was responsible for sales and operations.
Steven graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, with a double major in Marketing and Small Business Management.
