New Jersey Lottery Launches Multi-Play Dubble Bubble™ Bingo With Pollard Banknote Print Innovation

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, May 22, 2013 /CNW/ – Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard Banknote) is pleased to announce the launch of the New Jersey Lottery’s Dubble Bubble™Bingo ticket. This bright and cheery licensed game offers players four bingo cards with the addition of Pollard Banknote’s multi-color translucent marking system. By matching balls of the same color, the addition of blue, yellow and pink multi-color marking gives players even more opportunities to win.

Around the globe, instant tickets with Pollard Banknote’s multi-color translucent marking system are making an impact. Lotteries have benefited from the added graphic appeal and additional play value. The use of multi-color translucent marking perfectly showcases the nostalgic Dubble Bubble brand, adding that vibrant punch of color that really makes the ticket “pop” at retail.  The Dubble Bubble™ brand has been part of the Pollard Banknote licensed portfolio for 6 years and is a cornerstone of the company’s nostalgia-based brands. Created in 1928 by the Fleer Candy Company, Dubble Bubble™ has been a bubble blower’s favorite for 85 years. “America’s Original” bubble gum is now sold in more than 60 countries on 6 continents.

Dubble Bubble™ instant ticket games have been a success since the onset, even being named “Best New Instant Game” by NASPL in 2008. The instantly identifiable logo and well-known Pud character offer a compelling assortment of instant ticket options. The successful marriage of the Dubble Bubble™ brand with bingo has now evolved into extended play bingo games. The ticket is vivid, fun to look at, and provides lotteries the opportunity to offer their players an even more engaging instant ticket experience, and yet another chance to win.

“The Dubble Bubble™ brand provides a wonderful platform for fun and entertainment, especially for incorporating contests and other promotional activities,” said Sina Aiello, Vice President, Marketing. “This is a wonderful whimsical game that is fun to play and generates impact and excitement at retail.”

Foster Krupa, Marketing Manager, New Jersey Lottery agreed, saying, “The addition of multi-color translucent marking on our Dubble Bubble™ Bingo ticket really packs a punch visually, and the nostalgia of the brand is a definite draw, as we all have wonderful memories of Dubble Bubble™. The ticket looks fun, is engaging to play and enables us to provide players with an additional opportunity to win.”

The mission of the New Jersey Lottery is to support State education and institutions.
