POLLARD BANKNOTE prides itself on being an outstanding corporate citizen, striving to foster a safe, healthy, and inclusive working environment for its employees and making an ongoing commitment to the communities in which we operate.

Pollard Banknote provides a safe and healthy workplace environment and takes effective steps to prevent health and safety risks. Our efforts related to occupational health and safety include compliance to all applicable local, provincial/state, and national legislation, regulations, permits, and standards in each location where Pollard Banknote and its family of companies operate.

The importance of employee health and safety is highlighted in several overarching corporate polices.

Pollard Banknote believes that fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace is key to its continued growth and success. In support of this belief, Pollard Banknote has established a Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC) to act as an internal advisory group to assist the Company in accelerating and fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace and culture.

One of the Committee’s first actions was to become an employer partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI). The CCDI is a national charity that promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace by providing tools, knowledge, information, and education to employers. Through our partnership with CCDI, our teams and leaders have access to valuable resources designed to help support us on our diversity and inclusion journey.

Pollard Banknote is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace. As noted under Human Rights & Labour Laws, Pollard Banknote respects our employees’ right to equality and right to live free of discrimination.

We partner with a variety of organizations that support hiring underrepresented groups. Our head office partners with Connect Employment Services, an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities in Services, an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities in finding meaningful work; Manitoba Start, an organization that supports newcomers to Canada; and Opportunities for Employment, an organization that offers free employment services to jobseekers from all backgrounds.

We also partner with organizations to increase our reach and improve awareness among members of Indigenous communities, such as AMIK, Centre for Aboriginal & Human Resource Development (CAHRD), and Ka Ni Kanichihk.

In our Michigan location, we recruit through MiTalent, an organization that works with those who are unemployed and may have issues that make it difficult for them to find work, and provide computers for job seekers to use in their job search. They also have employment programs specifically for veterans.

Pollard Banknote believes that employees who share financially in the company’s success will work to increase quality and productivity, reduce costs, and increase profits. In short, the profit sharing plan is intended to foster inclusiveness and a strong sense of team spirit, while also encouraging a sense of personal commitment and ownership among staff.

Across our family of companies, any regular full-time employee who has successfully completed one year of continuous service from their date of hire is eligible to receive profit sharing.

Pollard Banknote has always placed a high degree of importance on being an active member of the community, whether that be through our innovative and engaging products and services that help lotteries and governments generate revenue for good causes, or through the many volunteer opportunities our staff participate in throughout our company to support local charities. Pollard Banknote has long been an outstanding corporate citizen, embedding itself in each of the communities where we operate production facilities and where our employees live.

The commitment of the Company’s leadership is demonstrated on both corporate and private levels, with the Company, as well as the Pollard Family Foundation and individual Pollard family members, donating funds to important causes.

Pollard Banknote understands the need to ensure that our products uphold the highest standards to ensure a fair and safe gaming experience that protects players from the adverse consequences of gaming and gambling.

As a company, we both value and mirror our customers’ commitment to incorporate socially responsible gaming practices. We believe that sustained growth and long-term success of the industry lies in the continued promotion and development of responsible gaming polices.

We understand that it is important for our employees who work closely with our lottery partners to be aware of our role in encouraging responsible gaming and the need for responsible gaming in sustaining the overall health of the industry. Inside Pollard Banknote, initial training for all new Sales & Marketing staff includes a responsible gaming awareness component related to materials provided by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries and the National Council on Problem Gambling. Diamond Game, our subsidiary providing social establishment gaming devices and games to lotteries and charitable gaming associations, is also a Silver member of the National Council on Problem Gaming.
