WINNIPEG, Manitoba, September, 17 2012 /CNW/ – Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard Banknote) is delighted to announce that Jennifer Westbury, Executive Vice President, Sales & Customer Development, was inducted into the Public Gaming Research Institute’s Lottery Industry Hall of Fame. A ceremony to induct this year’s group was held during the 2012 World Lottery Summit in Montréal, Canada. This marks the second year in a row that a member of the Pollard Banknote team has been honoured, following Greg Hoelk, winner of the 2011 NASPL Powers Award for Marketing.
Westbury, a 21 year veteran of the lottery industry, provides strategic direction and leadership as a member of Pollard Banknote’s Executive Committee. At the forefront of Pollard Banknote’s tenfold growth during her time with the company, she has cultivated and grown relationships around the globe helping establish the company as one of the industry’s premiere providers of instant tickets and related services. This experience, along with insight into the ever-evolving gaming industry, has been a driving force in Pollard Banknote’s development and application of new technologies.
A graduate of Rice University in Houston, Texas with Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees, Westbury held positions with Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York, and with Ernst & Young in Canada prior to joining Pollard Banknote.
“Jennifer’s contributions to Pollard Banknote have been remarkable. Much of our current success is due to her ability to address the needs of customers and help them drive sales,” said Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Pollard Banknote. “While this honour showcases what Jennifer has accomplished so far, her leadership in the development of innovative products and solutions ensures we can expect even more from Jennifer in the future.”
The Lottery Industry Hall of Fame was established by the Public Gaming Research Institute in 2005 to recognize exceptional professionals who have made a significant contribution to the lottery industry’s success worldwide. Every year, former inductees nominate and vote on the final recipients. With Westbury and six other 2012 inductees, the total current membership is 51.
